I am so delighted to have you here, 👋🏽 I’m Sarah.
I am a Mum to two expressive little people, Matrescence Reveller and Founder/Lead OT at Apricity Therapy.
As the story goes, I entered into motherhood totally unprepared for the enormous transformation that was unfolding. I lost my footing with who I was, and I measured my performance as a mother against a set of expectations that were not my own. Whilst I love and adore being a mother, I am often challenged with the conflicting anger, annoyance, and overwhelm. Leaning into the ambivalence of motherhood, and dropping perfectionism is my work in progress and the part of therapy I am most passionate about.
Apricity Therapy began from these very roots - from normalising the natural, complex, and disorienting experience of matrescence. When I started sharing my reflections and stories on Instagram, what is now @matrescencematters, I discovered how deeply those words resonated with other mothers. The conversations and community that grew there affirmed that this work was needed - not just personally, but professionally.
Today, Apricity Therapy, as a collective, brings that vision to life: a space where mothers are validated, supported, and guided to reorient themselves in the messy, meaningful middle of motherhood.
Apricity Therapy is here as a safe space to land. A place where you can be therapeutically — and appropriately — held. A place to begin practicing the telling of your story, to have your experience witnessed, and to find steadiness in the messy and meaningful middle of motherhood.
What began as personal reflections and conversations on @matrescencematters has grown into a practice dedicated to walking alongside mothers in this transformation.

Our focus is on helping you navigate the emotional, physical, and social complexities of motherhood with a whole-person approach.
